Amelia Natasha

Facilitator: Drama and Little Orators

Amelia graduated with a double major in Mathematics and Psychology before furthering her studies in Early Childhood Education in New Zealand. Hoping to create safe spaces for children and community development, she was a part of a cultural rehabilitation project for the Māori people, which triggered her research into her own identity and self. Her first book - the Blue Yemoja - was the result of that, an ode to the women who have raised her.

Amelia returned to the motherland in 2018 after being away for 8 years and has been featured in a number of local poetry scenes such as the Jack It! Series and Oral Fixation just to name a few. Recently, she was featured in All is Amazing’s Inspired by Women project as a multi-disciplinary artist. Currently, Amelia is getting familiar with the education field in Malaysia and aims to bring what she has learned during her time overseas to her home country.
