Hana Nadira is an actor and composer primarily based in Kuala Lumpur. She has just returned from Singapore after her stage debut in the sold out show ‘Normal’. Last year, she appeared as Ophelia in ‘Hamlet’, and also featured as Queen Elizabeth in ‘Laments of the Dead’, a Butoh interpretation of Richard III. Just last October, she won the Best Actor award for her performance in ‘Last Flight Out’ at the Kuala Lumpur Short+Sweet Theatre Festival 2016.
 
Hana has had the honor of receiving voice and Shakespeare training from Patsy Rodenburg in New York. She is also equipped with Linklater’s voice technique, and has trained in physical theatre with David Glass, butoh Japanese dance theatre with Lee Swee Keong, and Silat Tua martial arts with Lian Sutton. She has attended American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin and was part of the Theatre for Young People ensemble in Kuala Lumpur.
 
Apart from working with Blubricks, Hana had the opportunity to train teachers and students from 52 boarding schools all over Malaysia at the Cherating Theatre Camp last year. She also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, Boston, where she double majored in Contemporary Writing and Music Business. Her composition, 'Belantara', won Best Composition and Best Music Direction at the Short+Sweet Musical Festival 2015.
