About us

Empowering Expression Since 2006

Founded by Katrina Lau, BluBricks was born from a passion for education and self-expression. With a strong emphasis on speech and communication, we aim to build a society that speaks well and speaks right

Offering Speech and Drama, Public Speaking, Debate, Acting, and Dance, we operate in public, private, and international schools, as well as four dedicated centres, nurturing over 350 students.

Led by Executive Directors Katrina Lau and Az’farr Baginda, our team of trained facilitators follows the Trinity College London syllabus to develop confident, expressive individuals.

At BluBricks, we don’t just teach—we inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for the fine arts.

A Note from the Founder

BluBricks began in 2006 with just eight students in a small studio in Kota Damansara. Thanks to the trust of parents, we have since grown to over 300 students across multiple locations, with many pursuing Trinity Guildhall Speech and Drama and Effective Communication Exams each year.

With a background in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, my corporate experience revealed a strong demand for communication skills and confidence. A brief stint in the performing arts led me to discover how theatre techniques effectively build confidence—an approach that has transformed many of our students. Parents often share how their children eagerly anticipate classes and actively seek opportunities to express themselves.

BluBricks has come a long way, and the journey has been incredibly fulfilling. I hope it continues to be a space where children discover the power of expression and parents gain a deeper appreciation for the performing arts.
